All Things Felt!

January Get-Togethers
January 12th @ 6:30 All things felt!
January 26th @ 6:30 DIY and finish felt projects.  Bring whatever you want to work on.
Both meetings will be at the Tweet house.
See below for materials and details.

Come and learn some new stitches and techniques to making your own felt crafts.  The materials and projects are simple but be careful, felt crafting can be addicting!

Items I will be teaching are: play food (donuts, strawberries, dessert cake, crackers,  bow tie pasta)
Tiara or crown (for little princes too!)
Wand
Little Owl  stuffie
Pincushions

Materials for all projects:
Needle
 Matching thread
Matching or complimentary embroidery floss
Polyfil
Felt, colors will be determined by what you want to make and your own personal taste.  The crown is great for little princes too, just choose some nice boy colors.

Specific materials in addition to the ones listed above:
Wand: wooden dowel ¼” thickness, button, ribbon
Tiara/Crown:  scrap of matching fabric for the elastic band in the back, ¾” elastic 6” long,  you will need two pieces of felt at least 15” inches long for this project, so you may have to get it off the bolts.

Note: for many of these projects I used a wool felt blend which is a little bit more expensive but can be found on the bolts at JoAnn’s.  I like how it looks and feels a little better  than the acrylic but either will work perfectly.  Felt is such an easy thing to work with and can really make some wonderful things!!
